Leona Evans 
Leona M. Evans, 74, of Galt, died March 1 in her home. She was born Leona M. 
Russell on Aug. 5, 1930, in Clovis.

Mrs. Evans resided in Galt for 22 years. She was a member of the Herald Baptist 
Church and the Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, George F. Evans, of Galt; 
daughters, Helen Fee, of Oregon, and Carolyn Ellington, of Hemet; four 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Herald Baptist Church with Pastor 
Tomison officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at 
Ben Salas Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Herald Baptist Church.

Ben Salas Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
