Ursillo Nov.13, 1924 - Feb. 26, 2005 Raymond A. Ursillo, D.C., J.D., F.I.C.C., 80, of Stockton, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2005 in a local hospital. Born on November 13, 1924 in Lawrence, MA. He received his B.S. Degree from Tufts University, Boston, MA, D.C. Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, IA, served as a professor at Palmer College of Chiropractic, served on the faculty, Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, Whittier, CA, received his J.D. Degree from Humphreys College School of Law, Stockton, CA in 1978 and a Fellow, International College of Chiropractors. Ray was a consultant at Louvain University Medical School, Louvain, Belgium, was in private practice in Brussels and Antwerp, Belgium and past president of the San Joaquin - Stanislaus Chiropractic Society. Ray was a lecturer on Chiropractic, received the Doctor of the Year Award - San Joaquin Stanislaus Society in 1974 - 1977, was State-Wide Peer Review, a member of the Executive Committee, California Chiropractic Association 1974 - 1976, President of the California Chiropractic Association 1976 - 1977, a member of the California State Board of Chiropractic Examiners 1984 - 1987, Chairman of the California State Board of Chiropractic Examiners 1985 - 1987. Ray was in private practice from 1952 and in Stockton from 1963 to 1994. He was a consultant, California State Board of Chiropractic Examiners and served as Acting Executive Director of the California State Board of Chiropractic Examiners from November 1999 to March 2000. Ray was in the U.S. Army during World War II in Italy 1943 - 1946 commissioned 2nd Lt. in 1945; promoted to 1st Lt. in 1946. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Della Ursillo. He is survived by his daughters, Cathy (Phillip) Waddy and Ann Marie (Greg) Pierce all of Stockton. Grandfather of David Pierce, Julianne Hale, Melissa Pierce, Ryan Pierce, Karen Waddy and Kevin (Jody) Waddy. Great-grand- father of Katelyn Hale and Kristen Hale; brother, Richard Ursillo of Ohio. Friends are invited to attend Funeral services with military honors on Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 10 a.m. in the Evergreen Chapel in Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation hours on Wednesday, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way at Beckman Rd., Lodi. Max Carroll in charge of arrangements.
