LeRoy was born on October 31, 1918 in San Francisco, California, and grew up in Fresno. He spent most of his adult life in Stockton, was a Veteran of World War II, and was employed as a heavy equipment operator for San Joaquin County. He was married to his late wife, Ruth, for 57 years prior to her death on November 27, 1997. LeRoy enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing. He was a member of the Stockton Jeep Club, Moose Lodge, and the Civilian Conservation Corps. He is survived by a brother, Bryan McLaughlin of Stockton; a sister, Frances Rath of Los Angeles; two children, Bill McLaughlin of Puyallup, Washington and Nancy Mallery of Carson City, Nevada; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Cascade Court in Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 & Harney Lane in Lodi, with Rev. Dr. David Hill of Grace Presbyterian Church officiating. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
