Edward Parvin 
Edward E. Parvin, 62, of Lodi, died March 8 following a lengthy illness. He was 
born Aug. 21, 1941, in Long Beach, where he was raised.

Mr. Parvin moved to Lodi in 1969, where he married Mary Jean Schauer in 1970 at 
Temple Baptist. He and his wife made their home in Stockton until they 
relocated back to Lodi in 1993. He was employed by the City of Stockton in the 
Parks and Recreation Department, and then later for the Police Department as a 
clerk until his retirement. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed the Dodgers, 
Kings, Lakers and especially the Rams. He also enjoyed cooking, family 
gatherings, people and his cat, Ebony. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jean Parvin, of Lodi; daughter, Kimberly 
Parvin, of Southern California; sisters, Mavis Louise Fewell, of Anaheim and 
Nina Joy Montgomery, of Renton, Wash.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Cherokee Memorial Park 
with the Rev. Fred Jantz officiating. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of San 
Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204; to PAWS in Galt or to a charity 
of the donor's choice.

Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
