Jesse Manuel Hernandez
Dec. 25, 1952 — July 3, 2004 

Funeral services will be Tuesday for longtime Tracy resident Jesse Manuel 
Hernandez, 51, who died July 3 at San Francisco General Hospital following a 
brief illness.
Born in Oakland, Mr. Hernandez graduated from Tracy High School in 1970. He 
lived in Tracy 25 years and worked as a house painter 10 years.
He liked outdoor concerts, Western movies on TV and animals. He loved blues 
music and horses, and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He 
will be remembered as a loving father, brother, grandfather and uncle.
He is survived by four children, Angelina and Celina Hernandez, both of San 
Francisco, and Alicia and Jesse Hernandez Jr., both of San Jose; five 
grandchildren, Jenna, Aila, Ciera, Noelle and Kira Hernandez, all of San Jose; 
12 siblings, Jenny Adams of Tracy, Alvin Hernandez of Las Vegas, Joseph 
Hernandez of Auburn, Mary Rico, Lupe Hernandez and Johnny Hernandez, all of 
Santa Rosa, Miguel Hernandez and Katherine Talley, both of Sacramento, Rachel 
Hernandez of Hayward, Caroline Carranza of Manteca, Alexandria Jara of LeGrange 
and Robert Guerra of Fairfield; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arturo and Frances Hernandez, and a 
sister, Marie Hernandez.
Tuesday’s service will begin at noon at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., 
where visitation will be observed from 9:30 a.m. to noon that same day. A vigil 
will be at 7 p.m. Monday.
Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.
