He was born March 19, 1914, in Underwood, N.D. Mr. Grosz moved to Lodi in 1922 and graduated from Lodi High School. He married Margaret Haskell in 1936 and moved to Oakland the following year. He served in the U.S. Army under General Patton during World War II at the Battle of the Bulge. In 1952, he opened the Sacramento Auto Auction and later retired from three dealerships in Sacramento, Vallejo and Fairfield. Wesley Grosz He was a member of the Elks Club, Green Valley Country Club and Temple Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, boating and playing poker. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ellen Grosz, of Woodbridge; daughter, Linda Clark, of Lodi; son, Mark Grosz, of Lodi; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Morris. A chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lodi Funeral Home with Pastor Perry Kallis of Temple Baptist Church officiating. Committal at Lodi Funeral Home will immediately the service. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Lodi Funeral Home. A virtual register book may be signed at www.lodifuneralhome.com.
