Born in Oakland, Mrs. Hollingshead lived in Tracy 45 years before moving to Santa Cruz, where she lived about 24 years. She was raised in town and attended Tracy schools. Mrs. Hollingshead was a hairdresser and owned a beauty parlor in Tracy many years. She and her husband also owned Easy Pickins Market in town. Mrs. Hollingshead loved to celebrate and host parties, always including lots of decorations. Her family will remember her as a loyal friend who “feared little and loved much,” and was optimistic and full of energy. She was also anxiously awaiting the birth of her third great-grandchild. Mrs. Hollingshead is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Bob Burick of Aptos and Bonnie and Larry Wills of Tracy; sister Genevieve Kellner of Florida; grandchildren Michael Bianchi, and his wife, Dana, of Tennessee, and Jennifer Pereira, and her husband, Anthony, and Kristen and Robert Wills, all of Tracy; great-grandchildren Jacob and Andrew Bianchi, both of Tennessee; and nephew Timothy Kellner of Florida. Mrs. Hollingshead was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Jack O’Niel, in 1983, and husband Roger Hollingshead in 1993. Her brothers, Emil and Leslie Matthies, also preceded her in death. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. today at Oakwood Memorial Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, in Santa Cruz. Friday’s graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. at Tracy Cemetery, 600 E. Schulte Road.
