Jesse Jack Martinez
Nov. 3, 1983 — July 14, 2004


Funeral services will be Thursday for U.S. Army Pfc. Jesse Jack Martinez, 20, 
of Tracy, who died July 14 while in the line of duty in Telafar, Iraq.
Born in Germany, Martinez lived in Tracy 11 years. He served with the infantry 
one year, three months.
He was an avid fan of the Oakland A’s and Raiders. He also loved helping people 
and spending time with his friends and family, especially his nieces and 
nephews.
Martinez is survived by his parents, Manuel R. Martinez Jr. of Modesto and Jan 
Martinez of Tracy; his brother, Manuel R. Martinez III of Tracy; and his 
sister, Teresa Martinez of Tracy.
Thursday’s service will begin at 10 a.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central 
Ave., where visitation will be observed from noon to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. 
Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Martinez’s name may be made to an account that will 
be set up at Washington Mutual. The donations will be forwarded to A’s and 
Raiders’ sports camps for underprivileged children
