Mary Meidinger


Mary Magdalena Plines Horst Meidinger, 93, of Lodi, died July 20 in a local 
convalescent hospital. She was born Oct. 5, 1910, in Lehr, N.D.

Mrs. Meidinger attended Victor School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed 
crocheting and making lap robes. She was a former member of the San Joaquin 
County Sheriff Posse.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Cossins, of Lockeford; son, Donald 
Meidinger, of Lockeford; sisters, Martha Kammerer and Leona Richards, both of 
Lodi; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Horst, and second husband, Russell 
Meidinger; son, Raymond Horst; daughters, Delores Wilkinson and Mary Ann Horst; 
brothers, Jake Plines and Albert Plines; sisters, Emma Reiswig and Kay 
Caniglia; and grandson, Steven Fry.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Harmony Grove 
Cemetery in Lockeford. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Gierhart-Wells and Donahue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
