Meribeth Shoemake


Meribeth Shoemake, 55, of Waterville, Ohio and formerly of Lodi, died June 18. 
She was born Nov. 25, 1948, in Muskogee, Okla.

Ms. Shoemake moved to Lodi with her family in 1949, where she attended Lodi 
High School and Stagg High School. She was employed as a payroll clerk in the 
closure department at Owens Illinois.

She transferred to the plastics department in the Fairfield plant and remained 
there until she moved to the Toledo plant, and worked there until her 
retirement in 2000.

 
Meribeth Shoemake

In 2003, she was employed by Air Ride Trucking in Toledo, and worked there 
until the time of her death. She was a member of the Audobon Society.

She is survived by her father, Paul Shoemake; step-brother, Harold Rowe; step-
sister, Debbie DeMonte; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Shoemake; sister, Paula K; and 
brother, Paul Shoemake Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the Evergreen Chapel at 
Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, with the Rev. Ed Monroe officiating. Inurnment 
will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
