She was born Agnes Gansinger on Jan. 3, 1920, in Rupert, Idaho. Mrs. Mettler moved to Chicago with her family when she was 3 and then to Lodi at age 13. She attended Victor Elementary School and graduated from Lodi High School in 1938. She married Hubert Mettler In 1939. She worked at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Sacramento until beginning a family. Later she did office work for Jim Newman Insurance and Lodi Memorial Hospital. When her children were in school, she active in the PTA and was a past president of the Harmony Grove PTA. She was a member of the Victor Farm Bureau Women's Club and volunteered with the Black Prince Auxiliary at Lodi Memorial Hospital. She was a long standing member of the Zion Reformed Church in Lodi. Agnes Mettler She enjoyed spending time with her family and being a homemaker. She also enjoyed traveling to Lake Tahoe and Jackson. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Hubert Mettler, of Lodi; sons, Ronald Mettler, of Woodbridge, Jerry Mettler, of Lodi; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Anne Gunst and Helen Gansinger; and brother, Joseph Gansinger. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Reformed Church, 105 S. Ham Lane, with a luncheon at Geneva Hall to follow. Family interment will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Hospice of San Joaquin, 2609 E. Hammer Lane, Stockton, CA 95210-4222; Zion Reformed Church, 105 S.
