Josephine Goldman 
Josephine Catherine Goldman, 97, of Lodi, died April 14 at a local convalescent 
hospital. She was born Oct. 16, 1907, in Hartford, Conn.

Mrs. Goldman lived in Boston, Worcester, Mass., New York, and then the Bay Area 
from 1961 until 1992, when she moved to Lockeford. She was employed by 
Hittenberg's in Oakland as a corsetiere for 10 years. She enjoyed crossword 
puzzles and was a seamstress. 

She is survived by her son, Richard Goldman, of Centerville, Mass.; brother, 
James McCormack; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Meyer (Mike) Goldman; daughter, 
Dorothy Rhoades; and sister, Eileen Taylor.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chapel of the Chimes 
in Hayward with Father William Rozario of St. John's Catholic Church in San 
Lorenzo officiating. There will be no visitation.

Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
