Locally known in his youth as 'Fleet Foot Freddy', then later in recovery, as 'Fred" by the many who knew and loved him, worked as a Counselor at Recovery House in French Camp for several years. He then started and maintained his own business known as 'Alpha Concrete Pumping' for 3 years. Fred earned great pride and self-healing in bringing ACA, "Adult Children of Alcoholics" to the Stockton Alano Club, where he and his wife served as secretaries of meetings for 7 years and later organized the first ACA Conference in San Joaquin County. Fred is the son of the late Raymond Goldsberry. He is survived by his loving wife, Geri Goldsberry and devoted son of his mother and step-father, Brian and Alberta Denman. He is the loving father of Billy Rutherford, William Frederick Goldsberry Jr., Crissie Goldsberry, Michael Goldsberry, Teven May Goldsberry, Tommy Vizcarra and Michelle Williams; stepfather to Michael Ritchey, Kimberly Ritchey and Karyn Harris; and 'Grandpa Fred' to 18 grandchildren. Fred is also survived by his brother, Randy Harris and step-brother, Mike Denman, and preceded in death by 3 brothers, John Goldsberry, Mike Harris, and Eddie Harris. Memorial services will be for all who wish to attend at the Garden Acre's, 5038 E. Washington St., Stockton on Wednesday, March 23rd, at 10:00 a.m., Pastor Robert Millen officiating.
