Mrs. Veatch was born in Cooper, Okla. She attended Monterey Peninsula College and later earned her degree in interior design. She was a room mother 28 times for her children. She was a past president of the Madison School PTA in Stockton, and was on the school board in Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., a member of Tracy’s Woman’s Club and also the commonwealth club of California and Omega Nu. She was active in the Army Officers Wives Club, and was a delegate in Bavaria, Germany. Her interests included traveling, reading and collecting cookbooks. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Stockton. She was a homemaker. Her greatest love was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She will be greatly missed. Mrs. Veatch is survived by her husband of 58 years, Chauncey Lee Veatch of Tracy; children, Chauncey L. Veatch of Palm Desert, Gregory M. Veatch of Hemet, Bradley C. Veatch of Salinas, and Deborah Latasa, and her husband Gerald, of Tracy; grandchild, Gerry Latasa of Tracy; and sister, Gwendolyn Harrison Lockhart of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bertha Harrison; and siblings, Mildred Harrison Bryant and Herman Harrison.
