Pleasant Ave., a long time Lodi resident, passed away in a local hospital Saturday afternoon following an extended illness. Born in Russia, Mrs. Hauff came to the U.S., and settled in Kulm, N.D. at the age of four. She came to Lodi in 1906 where her family took up farming. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Lodi. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Anita Klemin of Lodi, and Mrs. Carrie Patterson of Auburn; one son, George Frey of Oakland; six sisters, Mrs. Carrie Ritz, Lodi, Mrs. Margaret Youngman, Lodi, Mrs. Katherine Helmle, Lodi, Mrs Christine Ritz, Sacamento, Mrs. Frieda Suess, Lodi, and Mrs. Bertha Brooks, Pasadena; one brother, William Hildenbrand, Lodi; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held a 1 p.m. tomorrow at the First Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Harold Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
