Dolly B. Hayes

Oct. 7, 1909 — Dec. 26, 2005

Funeral services will be Wednesday for 70-year Tracy resident Dolly B. Hayes, 
96, who died Dec. 26, 2005 at Manteca Care and Rehab Center.

Born in Rural Retreat, Va., Mrs. Hayes was a bookkeeper 20 years for the 
family business. She loved to cook and bake pies and cookies, which she always 
kept around for her grandchildren. She looked forward to having family around 
for the holidays.

She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-
grandmother who loved her family.

Mrs. Hayes is survived by her children, Darlene Junqueiro of Manteca and 
Derriel “Bud” Hayes of Tracy; siblings, Ruby Plummer of Tracy and Mae Johnson 
of Tracy; nine grandchildren, Dolly Gresham, and her husband, Greg, of Acampo, 
Dana Bradley, and her husband, Randy, of Manteca, David Junqueiro, and his 
wife, Michele, of Manteca, Buddy Hayes, and his wife, Cindy, of Tracy, Dennis 
Junqueiro, and his wife, Nancy, of Manteca, Eric Hayes, and his wife, Michele, 
of Tracy, Linda Montoya, and her husband, Walt, of Salt Lake City, Tom Hayes 
of Tracy, and Tim Hayes, and his wife, Pati, of Marysville; 26 great-
grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph A. Hayes; a son, Bob Hayes; 
and two grandsons, Tyrone and Guy Hayes.

Wednesday’s funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 
S. Central Ave. Visitation will be observed from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the 
chapel. Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.

Contributions in Mrs. Hayes’ name may be sent to a charity of the donor’s 
choice.
