Anita A. Hernandez 

July 25, 1919 — Feb. 12, 2006

A memorial service will be Thursday for Anita A. Hernandez, 86, who died 
Sunday in Vacaville after a brief illness.

Born in Santa Paula, Mrs. Hernandez was a longtime Tracy resident before 
living in Vacaville. She was a housewife who enjoyed gardening, crocheting, 
ceramics and spending time with friends.

Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her children, Lydia Faria, and her husband, 
Lawrence, of Folsom, Rebecca Ramirez, and her husband, Richard, of Manteca, 
Gavino Hernandez, and his wife, Marie, of Vacaville, George A. Hernandez, and 
his wife, Alice, of Tracy; grandchildren, Diane Faria, Dorene Hoffman, Mark 
Hernandez, Michelle Molina, Cindy Bennett, Rodney Hernandez, Jamie Waters and 
Christine Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Michael Lamb, Mark Hernandez Jr., 
Amanda Bresette, Alexis Read, Hilary Bennett, Megan Bennett, Sabrina 
Hernandez, Nathan Hoffman, Vincente Bennett, Isabella Hoffman, James Waters 
and Rodney Hernandez Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Gavino Hernandez; and a 
grandchild, Troy Hernandez.

Thursday’s memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 
Main St., in Vacaville. 

Visitation will be observed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel. 
Interment will begin at 10 a.m. Friday in Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe 
Ave., in Hughson.
