Almore Haas 
Almore M. Haas, 77, of South Lake Tahoe and formerly of Lodi, died June 8 in 
his home in South Lake Tahoe following a brief battle with cancer. He was born 
Jan. 24, 1928, in Elgin, N.D.

Mr. Haas moved to California with his family, where he graduated from Galt High 
School. He served in the Navy, where he met his wife, Verlene. Following his 
honorable discharge from the Navy, he was employed by Super Mold. He became a 
Lodi Police Dispatcher in 1963, where he worked until his retirement in 1983. 
Following his retirement, he moved to his summer home which he built in South 
Lake Tahoe. He enjoyed gardening, remodeling and wood-working. 

He is survived by his wife, Verlene, of; son, Gary, of Lodi ; daughters, Lori 
and Lynette, both of Lodi; brother, Vern, of Lodi; sister, Carol Holderbein, of 
Auburn; and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice organization.

Family Options Funeral and Tribute Services are in charge of arrangements.
