He was born May 1, 1918 in Lenora City, Tennessee. He retired from the Labors Union Local #73. He worked for C.E. Clemenson as a Hod Carrier for 35 years. Lee was a member of the Elks Lodge #2117 in Livermore, Manteca Moose Lodge #1815, Tri-Valley Moose Lodge #2521, Eagles Lodge and the American Legion Post #74, Modesto. He loved sports, fishing and hunting in Montana. He also loved spending quality time with his son and grandchildren, and his namesake great- granddaughter, Jenna Lee. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lilly Wells Heaton. Survived by son, Gary Wayne Heaton and wife Sue Heaton of Stockton; he was grandfather of Bruce Dwayne Heaton of Stockton, Darin Scott Heaton and wife Tena Ann Heaton of Valley Home; he was great-grandfather of Jenna Lee Heaton; dear friend of Ruth Garr of Manteca. He will be dearly missed by all. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the Evergreen Chapel of Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 & Harney Ln, Lodi. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31st from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 E. Industrial Way, Lodi.
