Lee "Pops" Dowl Heaton 
May 1, 1918 - March 28, 2005



Lee "Pops" Dowl Heaton, 86 of Stockton, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2005. 
He was born May 1, 1918 in Lenora City, Tennessee. He retired from the Labors 
Union Local #73. He worked for C.E. Clemenson as a Hod Carrier for 35 years. 
Lee was a member of the Elks Lodge #2117 in Livermore, Manteca Moose Lodge 
#1815, Tri-Valley Moose Lodge #2521, Eagles Lodge and the American Legion Post 
#74, Modesto. He loved sports, fishing and hunting in Montana. He also loved 
spending quality time with his son and grandchildren, and his namesake great-
granddaughter, Jenna Lee.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lilly Wells Heaton. Survived by son, Gary 
Wayne Heaton and wife Sue Heaton of Stockton; he was grandfather of Bruce 
Dwayne Heaton of Stockton, Darin Scott Heaton and wife Tena Ann Heaton of 
Valley Home; he was great-grandfather of Jenna Lee Heaton; dear friend of Ruth 
Garr of Manteca. He will be dearly missed by all.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the 
Evergreen Chapel of Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 & Harney Ln, Lodi. 
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31st from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 
Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 E. Industrial Way, Lodi.
