A native of Boone, Iowa she was born October 3, 1926 and moved to Stockton in November of 1937, where she graduated from Stockton High School in 1944 and then attended Humphrey's College. Mrs. Henderson is survived by her husband, Graham R. Henderson, Jr. and a son, Patrick M. Bishop. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred C. and Selena M. Shepherd, and a brother, Fred J. Shepherd all of whom resided in Stockton. Retiring after 28 years with the Bank of Stockton, Mrs. Henderson also worked for Bravo & McKeegan for ten years and worked five and half years with her father in his Richfield Service Station during WWII. She was also partners in Tuxedo and Ruhl's Bakeries. Mrs. Henderson was affiliated with many groups including being Secretary and Board Director of the Hanot Foundation; Treasurer of the Delta Lions Club; Past President Credit Woman's Breakfast Club; Past President California Association for Neurologically Handicapped Children; Counselor with the Good Shepherd Family Group for the Handicapped Children and Adults; Counselor for Junior Achievement Program; Member of the Association for Retarded Citizens; Counselor for Special Olympics; Counselor for Troop 104 Boy Scouts Troops for the Handicapped; Past President Gamma Zeta Chapter of Alpha Iota Sorority; Vice President of Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD); Member of Ladies Auxiliary for Retarded Children LARCS); Treasurer for Boys Club of Stockton; Member of the Stockton Chamber of Commerce; Member of American Business Managers Association and a volunteer at the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop. During WWII she was the Queen of Stockton Field of 1943. Friends and family are invited to attend Funeral Services on Thursday, March 24, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N. California Street, Stockton, CA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Committal will be at Park View Cemetery, French Camp, California.
