Arlene D. Ignatovich

Dec. 11, 1928 — March 11, 2006

Services were Wednesday for Arlene D. Ignatovich, 77, who died Saturday at her 
Stockton home.

A native of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Ignatovich lived in Stockton the past 70 
years, where she worshipped at Bethany Community Church.

She loved her pets, gardening, participating in her knitting group and 
collecting spoons. However, her family was her joy, and making sure its needs 
were met was always her first priority.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Albert Ignatovich; children, Diane 
Akers and her husband, John, and Nancy Gresham, all of Stockton, JoLynn 
Ignatovich and her companion, Jorge Teran, and Teresa Ignatovich, all of 
Tracy; siblings, Hope Freemen, Elsie Weaver, Virginia Manchester and Dale 
DeShazer; grandchildren, Lisa, Brent, Heather and Gretchen; stepgrandchildren, 
Marilyn, Jason, Celia Ruth and Jorge Jr.; and eight great-grandchildren.

Wednesday’s services were at the Chapel of Flowers at Cherokee Memorial Park, 
Highway 99 at East Harney Lane, in Lodi.

Visitation was observed Tuesday at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 
Industrial Way.

Contributions in Mrs. Ignatovich’s name may be sent to the American Cancer 
Society, 207 E. Alpine Ave., Stockton 95204.
