She was born Dec. 8, 1913, in Orange County. She, her husband and children were ordered into internment camps along with 110,000 other persons of Japanese ancestry at the Tule Lake Relocation Center, located near the Oregon border. After their release from Tule Lake in 1945, they moved to Lodi, where the family owned and operated 3 Aces Fish Market in downtown Lodi. In 1953, she moved away from Lodi and eventually settled in Palo Alto. In 1995, she returned to Lodi. She is survived by her children, Robert Ikeda, of Stockton, Sumiko Anhorn, of Oregon, Margaret Kono, of Japan, and Noby Ikeda, of Novato; sister, Masako Ishihara, of Elk Grove; brother, Kaichiro Yuoka, of Japan; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kameichi, in 1976; and three siblings. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Nichiren Buddhist Temple, 3570 Mona Way, San Jose. Inurnment will be at Cherokee Memorial Park. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Avenue, Stockton CA 95204.
