Esther A. Anderson

April 1, 1908 — Nov. 19, 2005

Services will be Tuesday for longtime Tracy resident Esther A. Anderson, 97, 
who died Saturday, 19 November 2005, at New Hope Care Center.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Duelm, Minn. She then lived in Tracy 67 years, and 
moved to Heritage Place and then to the New Hope Care Center in September. She 
was a waitress at the Tracy Inn and a homemaker who cared for her husband and 
son.

She loved her home and prided herself in keeping it clean. She loved traveling 
with her husband, Harry, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars 
Ladies Auxiliary for more than 50 years.

Mrs. Anderson and members of her family provided major financial support for 
Tracy Post 1537, VFW and Auxiliary.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her siblings, Vernon Kampa of Maple Grove, Minn., 
Laura Brennan of St. Cloud, Minn., Lucille Tischbirk of Sauk Rapids, Minn., 
and Caroll Kampa of Coon Rapids, Minn.; and her friend and caregiver, Bessie 
Vollbrecht of Tracy.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Harry Anderson; son, 
Wallace Anderson; and siblings, Loretta Bolagek, Dorothy Macho, Mabel 
Stotesbery and Felix, Ervin and Louis Kampa.

Tuesday’s services will begin at 1 p.m. at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland 
Ave. Visitation will be observed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be in 
Tracy Cemetery.
