Born in Amarillo, Texas, Mrs. Kartz lived in Tracy 21 years. She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo and needlepoint. She loved to travel, go to the symphony and take wine-tasting tours. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Kartz is survived by her husband of 34 years, Michael Kartz; daughter, Shannon Bowen, and her husband, Kenny, of San Antonio, Texas; sibling, Bill Rylander, and his wife, Colleen, of Salt Lake City, Utah; and grandchildren, Katie and Kristopher Bowen of San Antonio, Texas. Sunday’s memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. Interment will be private. Published on Friday, February 10, 2006, in the Tracy Press.
