He was born Aug. 15, 1922, in Dupo, Ill. Mr. Krack joined the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1939 and then the Navy in 1941, where he served on the light cruiser USS Birmingham. While in the service, he fought in the European and Japanese theaters. He worked for Lodi Community Hospital (now Lodi Memorial) for 16 years and then was self-employed for six years. He enjoyed baseball, football, budweiser and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Joan C. Krack; sons, Dennis Krack, Adair Krack and Keith Krack; daughter, Sandra Steffen; stepsons, Alan Pichetto and Donald Pichetto; stepdaughter, Caroline Bolt; stepsister, Jane Hern; 15 grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Renee Krack; stepson, Charles Pichetto; sister, Marie Roth; brother, Charles Krack; and stepbrother, Gene Krack. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 1055 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi. Committal will be private at Lodi Memorial Park and Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist building fund, 1055 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi, Ca. 95242; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
