He was born Jan. 23, 1938, in San Jose. Mr. Kruse graduated from Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill. He served in the U.S. Airforce from 1956 to 1960. He resided in Sacramento from 1958 to 1984, when he and his family moved to Lodi. He was employed as an electrician from 1962 to 1993, and was a member of the Sacramento International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 340 for 43 years. He was a member of the Tokay Radio Control Modelers, Woodbridge Masonic Lodge, the Oak Plains Masonic Lodge in Sacramento and the Sacramento Area Scottish Rite Bodies. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gretchen; sons, Kevin, of Lodi and Brian, of San Jose; and two grandsons. A celebration of life will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Woodbridge Masonic Lodge in Woodbridge with Maurice Crosby officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lodi High Band Boosters, American Cancer Society, Lung Association, Shriner's Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice.
