Kenney February 9, 1934 - April 4, 2005 Gary R. Kenney was born on February 9, 1934. Gary was born in Alameda, California. He attended St. Joseph's Grammar School and graduated from Alameda High School in 1952. Upon graduation he became a steam fitter in the Bay Area. Gary's 45 year career in water treatment began with the Garrett Callahan Company in Long Beach. Gary moved to Stockton, CA in 1959 and founded his own water treatment company called EPG Water Treatment Company, later to be named Watertech. Gary was an avid tennis player, winning the East Bay Tennis Championship at age 16. He competed in many local tennis tournaments and was active in the Oak Park Tennis Club. Gary loved sports and coached many of his children's baseball and softball teams. Among many things, Gary's wonderful laugh will be missed by all. Gary was a loving husband of Jane Kase; devoted father of Shannon Victor, Erin Kenney, Lynn Yanko and Matthew Kenney and step- father to Kati Minna; loving father-in-law to Bill Victor, Marc Adelman, Jim Yanko and Stephanie Kroese; adoring grandfather to Meghan Victor-Smith, Derek and Alex Victor, Ben and Ali Adelman, Sean, Nikolas and Jack Kenney, Miranda and Abbie Yanko; brother to Jack Kenney and Barbara Raya; uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to an informal celebration of Gary's life at Janet and Gary's home, 9852 Hickock Drive in Stockton on Thursday, April 7, at 2:45 p.m. From I-5, take the Eight Mile Road exit and go east, turn right on Davis Road, right on chaparral, right on Hickock.
