Aubrey Kinard 
Aubrey R. Kinard, 70, of Lodi, died April 18 in a local hospital. He was born 
Aug. 11, 1934, in El Dorado, Ark.

Mr. Kinard moved to Stockton at the age of 10 with his parents. He served in 
the Marine Corp. during the Korean conflict. 

Following the war, he worked for American Can Co. and then for Stokelys Can 
Plant until his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed golfing and fishing in his 
younger years.

He is survived by his wife, Kathie Kinard, of Lodi; step-daughter, Fonda 
Chapman, of Galt; brothers, Ronald Kinard, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jim Kinard, 
of Ceres; sisters, Doravella Schweitzer and Melba Castles, both of Yerington, 
Nev.; mother, Gertie Souza, of Carson City, Nev.; and five grandsons.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Cherokee Memorial Park. 
There will be no visitation.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
