She was raised in Stockton, where she graduated from Stockton High School. At the University of California at Berkeley she was an active member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She was a founding member of the Lodi Memorial Hospital Pink Ladies, a member of the Emperor Auziliary Branch for the Hospital, and served on the Hospital Foundation's Board from 1972 to 1994. She helped found the Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation in 1980, and served as vice-president from 1980 to 1987; she retired from the Foundation Board in 1999. She was widowed by her husband, Frederick J. Klemeyer, in 1972, but is survived by her son, Frederick J. Klemeyer, Jr., her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Cotter Klemeyer, and her granddaughter, Jeanette Elise Klemeyer, all of San Francisco; her sister-in-law, Herma Klemeyer, resides in Stockton. Services will be private.
