Irene Knittel 
Irene Myrtle Knittel, 88, of Lodi, died June 26 in a local hospital. She was 
born Irene Myrtle Wiebe on March 25, 1917.

Mrs. Knittel was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. 

She is survived by her sisters, Virginia Kozart, of Michigan, Bernice Cavin, of 
Sacramento, Vera Shirley O'Lear, of Stockton and Maxine Citron, of Louisiana; 
brothers, Robert Wiebe, of Lancaster, and Eugene Wiebe, of Rosarito, Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Knittel in 1997; son, Dennis 
Knittel in 2004; sisters, Esther Wiebe, June Fox Wiebe, and Laurina Bagley 
Wiebe; and brother, Ernie Wiebe, Jr.

A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lodi Funeral Home. A 
private interment will follow at Lodi Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
