Barbara Kosta

April 4, 1932--April 24, 2005

  Barbara Gloria Kosta, 73, a member of the Lodi community for the past 9 years 
passed away at her home on Sunday morning, April 24, 2005, from cancer with her 
husband John at her side.

  Barbara was employed by Pacific Bell for 30 years until she retired in June, 
1983. She was a very active member of the City of Lodi Police Department, 
Volunteer Partners unit. Barbra so loved and so enjoyed her involvement and 
activities with the Lodi Newcomers Club of which she was the President in 1003-
2004.

  She is survived by her husband of 43 yearrs, John Lloyd Kosta of Lodi, 
daughter Sandra Lane & son-in-law Jerry Lane of Granite Bay, stepmother of 
Christopher Kosta of Lodi & John Kosta of Tennessee. Dear & loving grandmother 
of Benjamin Jones & Heather Kosta, great-grandmother of Alec & Ashlee Jones of 
Spokane, WA. 

  As she wished, she is to be cremated. A memorial service will be held 
Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 11:00 am at Cherokee Memorial Park, in the 
Evergreen Chapel, in Lodi.

  In her memory, flowers may be sent to Cherokee Memorial Park, Harney Lane at 
Highway 99 (209) 334-9613. Donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the 
City of Lodi, Police Department, Partners Unit, Attn: Jeanie Biskup, 215 W. Elm 
Street, Lodi, CA 95240.
