She was born Lydia Schindler on Dec 8, 1902 in Goodrich, N.D. Mrs. Liebelt was a resident of the Lodi area for 31 years. She was a homemaker for 67 years. She and her husband, Reinhold, farmed in North Dakota until his death in 1965. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and enjoyed gardening, church activities and family and friends. Mrs. Liebelt is survived by five children, Lloyd Liebelt of North Dakota, Beverly Gessele of Colorado, Donald Liebelt of North Dakota, Myron Liebelt of Lodi and Marls Whiteside of Sacramento; six sisters, Pauline Selleseth, Minnie Bruskrud, Alice Maxwell, Irene Bright, Tillie Gilstrap and Caroline Kiser; 21 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reinhold Liebelt; five brothers, and two grandchildren. Private services were held at Lodi funeral home with the Rev. G.G. Rauser officiating. The funeral and burial will be in Harvey, N.D.
