He was born April 4, 1913 in Harvey, N.D. and had lived in the Lodi area since 1937. Mr. Liebelt was a retired painting contractor. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and singing with quartets. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lodi and sang in the church’s choir for many years. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Mr. Liebelt is survived by his wife, Ella Liebelt of Lodi; a daughter, Willa Krueg; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The graveside service is 2 p.m. Thursday at Cherokee Memorial Park, with the Rev. David Mitchell and the Rev. Merle Brenner of the First Baptist Church presiding. Committal will be at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to noon Thursday at Lodi Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church Music Department, 19 S. Central Ave., Lodi, 95240.
