Mr. Lira was born Oct. 7, 1928, in Brawley. He served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1948. He was a farm laborer with All States Packers for 55 years. He is survived by his wife Olga Lira, of Acampo; children Ilda Lira and Amalia Lira, both of Stockton, Linda Lira and Louie Danny Lira, both of Acampo; his siblings Mary Samaniego, of Madera, and Valia Soto, of Brawley; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sibling, Nelly Rocha. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. A Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 215 W. Walnut St., Lodi. Committal will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday in Rocha's Mortuary, 215 S. School St., Lodi.
