Born in Indiahoma, Okla., Mrs. Lowrie was a counselor for Oakland Unified School District 20 years. She loved to sew, play bingo and collect and make dolls. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Lowrie is survived by her sons, Birk Lowrie of Seattle, Wash., and Craig Lowrie, and his wife, Sharon, of Tracy; sister, Helen Eicher of San Jose; grandchildren, Jennifer Bortz of Fremont, Todd Baker of Sunnyvale and Craig L.Lowrie Jr. of Union City; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Harry Lowrie. Contributions in Mrs. Lowrie’s name may be sent to American Heart Assoc., 1710 Gilbreth Road, Burlingame 94010.
