Rex Martin
Rex Wayne Martin, 54, of Stockton and formerly of Lodi, died Sept. 29 at his 
home. He was born April 18, 1951, in Iowa City, Iowa, attended Lodi schools and 
lived in the Lodi and Stockton areas for 35 years.

Mr. Martin served in the U.S. Marine Corps for two years and married Brenda 
Brady in 1970. He was a long-line truck driver of heavy equipment for 35 years. 
He was an avid fisherman and loved a good boat ride over to the bay. He also 
enjoyed home improvement projects. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cindy Hagel of Stockton; 
two sons, Michael Martin and Jessie Lozano, of Stockton; his mother, Lola 
Stubblefield of Nevada, a sister, Shirley Grisham of Nevada; and two grandsons.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home. 
Burial with full military honors will be at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. Visitation 
will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
