Secundino Martinez

Nov. 28, 1928 — Jan. 26, 2006

Services will be in Mexico for Secundino Martinez, 77, who died Jan. 26. 2006 
at his Tracy home.

Born in Nochistlan Zacatecas, Mexico, Mr. Martinez lived in Tracy for a year. 
He loved his ranch and animals in Mexico, and he always missed his life there 
after moving to the United States three years ago. He loved spending time with 
his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing dominoes several days a week with his 
sons-in-law. He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Martinez is survived by his children, Alfredo Martinez, Amelia Perez, 
Maria Luisa Soto, Fidel Martinez, Rosa Guitierrez and Carlos Martinez, all of 
Tracy, Rosario Portillo of Livermore, Marciano Martinez of Merced, and 
Guadalupe and Socorro Martinez, both of Mexico; siblings, Gregoria Martinez of 
Corona Valley, Teresa Martinez of Mendota and Carmen Martinez of Mexico; 31 
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Candelaria Martinez.

Services in Nochistlan Zacatecas, Mexico will be at a later date. Visitation 
will be from noon to 7 p.m. 

Friday and Saturday at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. A rosary will 
be recited at 7 p.m. 

Friday and Saturday at the chapel. Interment will be in Mexico.

Contributions in Mr. Martinez’s name may be sent to St. Bernard’s Building 
Fund, 163 W. Eaton Ave., Tracy 95376.
