Tony M. Mendoza

Jan. 2, 1913 — Oct. 20, 2005

Services will be Saturday for longtime Tracy resident Tony M. Mendoza, 92, who 
died Oct. 20, 2005 at New Hope Care Center.

Born in Yuma, Ariz., Mr. Mendoza was a farm laborer who came to Tracy 50 years 
ago for the seasonal tomato crops and decided to stay. After retirement, he 
kept busy with miscellaneous projects around the house, taking walks and 
listening to Mexican music. He was a parishioner of St. Bernard’s Catholic 
Church.

Mr. Mendoza is survived by his wife of 40 years, Maria, of Tracy; children, 
Juan Mendoza, of Tracy, Michelle Miranda, and her husband, Bert, of Tracy, and 
Julie Mendoza of Stockton; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister and two stepsons.

Saturday’s memorial gathering will be from 1 to 3 p.m., at Moose Lodge, 35 E. 
Sixth Street. Inurnment will be at Mesa Cemetery in Mesa, Ariz.

Memorial donation may be sent to help the family with funeral costs. To donate

Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., is handling arrangements.
