He was born April 18, 1928, in Acampo, where he was raised and graduated from Lodi High School in 1947. Mr. Mikami and his family were relocated to an interment camp in Rowher, Ark. during World War II. Following the war, he returned to the Lodi-Acampo area where he continued to farm. He was an avid sports fan and also enjoyed reading books and magazines. He is survived by his brother, Frank Mikami, of Granada Hills; and sister, Terrie Otani, of Fresno. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe, Yoshito, Masae and Matsuto Mikami. A private memorial service was held on Monday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park officiated by the Rev. Kenshin Fujimoto. Inurnment was held at Cherokee Memorial Park. In lieu of Koden contributions, memorial contributions may be made to the Lodi Buddhist Church, 23 N. Stockon St., Lodi, CA 95240. Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
