Born in Oakland, Mr. Moniz lived in Tracy 40 years and worked at Gilson’s Supply for 15 years and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory 20 years. He was also a truck driver. He was a resident of the San Joaquin River Club 40 years and loved to travel in his trailer with his wife. He also enjoyed woodworking. Mr. Moniz is survived by his wife of 68 years, Pearl Moniz; sister, Laura Capelini of Antioch; and numerous nieces and nephews. The memorial service will begin at noon Dec. 10 in the Lakeside Chapel at the San Joaquin River Club.
