Bellemeda C. Montiero

Oct. 2, 1914 — Jan. 16, 2006

Services will be Friday for longtime Tracy resident Bellemeda C. Montiero, 91, 
who died Monday at New Hope Care Center.

Born in Martinez, Ms. Montiero lived in Tracy 76 years. She was a clerical 
worker at Tracy Defense Depot 15 years. 

Ms. Montiero is survived by her sister, Mary Costa of Ahwahnee; niece, Rosalie 
Rosenberg of Ahwahnee; several great- and great-great nieces and nephews, 
including Karen and Kurt; and one great-great-great nephew.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Rose M. Lavagetti and George Costa 
Jr.

Friday’s services will begin at noon at the Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland 
Ave. Visitation will be observed from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the mortuary. 
Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.

Contributions in Ms. Monteiro’s name may be sent to a charity of the donor’s 
choice.
