Chela Moreno 

May 4, 1956 — Dec. 24, 2005

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday for Tracy resident Chela 
Moreno, 49, who died Saturday at her home. 

Mrs. Moreno was born in Mexico. She worked for Homestead Giant Snacks 13 years 
and then worked for Saags Sausage Co. 11 years as a packaging supervisor. For 
the last five years, she was at home battling cancer.

Mrs. Moreno is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jesus Moreno, of Tracy; 
children, Zulma, Joanna and Jesus Jr. Moreno, all of Tracy; grandchildren, 
Ricardo and Adrian Vaga, Angel Valenzuela and Anela Moreno, all of Tracy; 
siblings, Dolores Ibarra-Estrada, Margarita Ibarra-Mata, Miguel Ibarra and 
Concepcion Ibarra, all of Mexico; Refugio Ibarra-Ortega of Stockton, Rafela 
Ibarra-Ortiz of San Diego and Trinidad Ibarra-Cardenas of Downing; and four 
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Conception and Felicitas Ibarra.

Friday’s Mass will begin at 1:30 p.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. 
Eaton Ave. Visitation will be observed from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Fry 
Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., followed by a recital of a rosary at 7 
p.m. Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.
