Manuel Madera 
Manuel Madera, 71, of Galt and formerly of Lodi, died March 13 in a Sacramento 
hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1934, in Jalisco, Mexico.

Mr. Madera worked as a farm laborer for various farms in the local area. He was 
a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. 

He is survived by his wife, Eliodora Madera, of Galt; sons, Emilio Madera and 
Mario Madera, both of Galt and Hector Madera, of Lockeford; daughters, Sylvia 
Perez, of Stockton, Catalina Ramirez, Beatrice Madera and Yolanda Orejel, all 
of Lodi, Elva Villalobos and Judith Madera, both of Galt; brothers, Julian, 
Antonio and Luis Madera, all of Mexico; sister, Nasaria Madera, of Mexico; and 
18 grandchildren.

A church service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anne's Catholic Church. 
Interment will follow at Lodi Memorial Park Cemetery. A rosary will be recited 
at 6:30 p.m. today at the Lodi Funeral Home.

Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
