Helen Maxwell

  Helen S. Maxwell, 85, died Easter Sunday following a lengthy illness.
  She was born to Jacob & Molly Kraft on an Indian reservation at Froid, 
Montana on  February 6, 1920.
  In September of 1937, she came to California and worked as a hair stylist for 
over 30 years.  She then worked for Schaffer, Suess & Boyd Realtors for 17 
years and retired in 1992. She loved sports, crocheting, embroidering and being 
with her family. For as long as her health allowed, she was active at St. Peter 
Lutheran Church in Life Light Bible Study and Lutheran Women's Missionary 
League.
  She is survived by her son, Roger Rau and Wife Lynette of Sacramento, CA and 
daughter, Claudine Sutter and husband, Bob of Lodi, CA; five grandchildren and 
three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by; one brother, Reinhold Kraft 
of WA and one sister, Arlene Soderstrom of MT.
  Friends are invited for a visitation on Wednesday, March 30 from 8 .m. to 5 
p.m. at the Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral Home and on Thursday, March 31 to 
a Graveside Coommittal at Cherokee Memoral Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Ln., Lodi, 
CA at 10 a.m. followed by a Memorial service at St. Peter Lutheran Church at 11 
a.m. with Rev. Paul Zimmerman officiation.
  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Peter Lutheran 
Church, 2400 Oxford Way, Lodi, CA 95242 or to the charity of your choice. 
  Gierhart-Wells & Donahue Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
