Grace Montgomery 
Grace V. Montgomery, 100, of Lodi, died April 20 at a Stockton convalescent 
hospital. She was born June 11, 1904, in Sussex, Wyo.

Mrs. Montgomery lived in Lodi for 13 years. She owned a restaurant and worked 
in the food industry for 30 years. She was a member of The Friends of Lodi 
Lake, Stockton Rod and Gun Club and the National Arbor Society. She was an avid 
cook, and an avid fan of the Giants and Braves. She enjoyed fishing, playing 
dominoes and pinochle. 

She is survived by her daughters, Joy I. Dawson, of Lodi, Dorothy A. Clifton, 
of Summerfield, Fla. and Rose E. Feakes, of Walnut Grove; nine grandchildren, 
18 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvel Montgomery; and son, Howard 
Hanshew.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at 1040 Laurel Ave., Lodi.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific 
Ave., Stockton, CA 95204; or to Friends of Lodi Lake.

Park View Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
