Alvin Mueller

  Alvin Mueller, 81, formerly of Lodi, California died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 
at the Napoleon Care Center where he was a resident since March 2004. 
  Alvin Mueller was born November 27, 1923 in the family home at Gackle, North 
Dakota, son of Salomon and Maria (Weispfenning) Mueller. He grew up and 
attended school in Gackle, where he worked on his father's dray line delivering 
freight. In 1942 he moved with his parents to Napoleon, ND.
  He and Ann Marquart were married at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in 
Napoleon on February 5, 1944. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to 
Hazelton, North Dakota where he worked for Cack Pfeister as his farm manager 
and asisted with the operation of his carnival. In 1955 they moved to Lodi, 
California where he was employed by General Mills, retiring in the early 
1980's. For many years Alvin pursued his love for antiques, buying and selling 
at various markets and making many trips back and forth to North Dakota from 
California. 
  He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mary (Mike) Cato, Lockeford, 
California; Gail Gibson, Napoleon; three sons, Rod, Lodi, CA. Mike, Antelope, 
CA, and Pat Stockton, CA; six grandchildren, Jason Cato, Darcy Roberts, Joshua, 
Jennifer, Amy and Jeremy Mueller.
  He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, John, Evoldt, and 
Norbert; and two sisters, Hulda Ehmann and Helma Hofsad.
  Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. 
Burial Gackle Cemetery, Gackle, North Dakota.
