Born November 26, 1930 in Porterville, California to Robert H. Murray and Minta Agnes (Barnes) Murray. He served in the National Guard. Married Betty Lou Sumner on August 19, 1972 in Reno, Nevada. A member of Operating Engineer's Local Union #3. Albert worked as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for 66 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his cabin in West Point and spending time with his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Betty Murray of Stockton, CA; daughter, Debbie Rhodes of Stockton, CA; son, Albert A. Murray Jr. and his wife Kari of Nevada City, CA; son, Rick A. Murray and his wife Kellie of Niosho, Missouri; daughter, Carol Groh and husband, Phil of St. Helens, Oregon; son, Ron Derryberry of Florida and daughter, Teresa Dozier and her husband, Donald of Arnold, CA; brother, Chuck Murray and wife, Marie of Bakersfield, CA; sister, Melba Caldwell and her husband, Bill of Galt, CA; brother, David Murray and wife, Perry of Hereford, TX; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy (Murray) Leal; brothers, Forest and Perry Murray. Friends are welcome to attend graveside services Sunday, April 10, 2005 at 12:00 p.m. at West Point City Cemetery, West Point, CA and a Celebration of his Life will follow at his beloved cabin in West Point, CA.
