Mrs. Navarra was born in Los Angeles, and was a parishioner of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. She loved to entertain family and friends. She was an avid golfer, and enjoyed tennis, card club and cooking. Mrs. Navarra is survived by her children, Patricia Giambanco of Modesto and Carl Bart Navarra, and his wife, Annamae, of Tracy; siblings, Mary Marsala and Rita Pennizatto, both of Los Angeles; and grandchildren, Peter Giambanco of Atwater, Phillip Giambanco of Modesto, Carl Manuel Navarra of Tracy, Annamarie and John Lara, both of Westley and Angela and James La Velle, both of Salida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Daniel Navarra; and grandson, Albert Anthony Navarra. Thursday’s Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Navarra’s name may be sent to St. Bernard’s Building Fund, 163 W. Eaton Ave., Tracy 95376. Published on Tuesday, October 25, 2005, in the Tracy Press.
