Douglas James Noyes

Jan. 20, 1937 — Jan. 1, 2006

A memorial service will be today for Douglas James Noyes, 68, who died Jan. 1, 
2006 at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento.

Mr. Noyes lived in Tracy a short time before he moved to Pioneer after he 
retired, where he lived 18 years. He worked as a Ready Mix driver for 
Teamsters Local No. 287 before he retired in 1988. He owned Doug’s Truck and 
Tractor business in Pioneer 12 years before he retired again in 2000. He built 
the home he lived in, as well as another home, which he sold.

He served in the U.S. Marines from 1955 to 1958 aboard the U.S.S. Wisconsin. 
He was an avid golfer, bowler and fisherman and loved the New York Giants and 
Boston Red Sox. He loved to spend time with his family at Kennedy Meadows and 
Bear River Reservoir, camping, fishing and enjoying the outdoors.

Mr. Noyes is survived by his children, Susan Adams, and her husband, Robert, 
of Tracy, Dana Noyes of Tracy and Steven Noyes of San Jose; stepson Craig 
Feaga of Modesto; a sister, Lorraine Di Galbo of Avon, Conn.; grandchildren, 
Blake and Delaney Adams, both of Tracy; and step-grandchildren, Jason, Kristin 
and Melissa Feaga, all of Modesto.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Donna Noyes; parents, 
Douglas and Edna Noyes; and two sisters, Beverly Tolman and Jean Santacroce.

Today’s memorial service will begin at noon at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. 
Highland Ave. Inurnment will be private.
