Clayton Robert Nuce

Aug. 16, 1985 — Jan. 21, 2006

Services will be Friday for lifelong Tracy resident Clayton Robert Nuce, 20, 
who died Saturday in an automobile accident in Lathrop.

For eight years, Mr. Nuce was a ceramic tile setter for Nuce Family Tile. He 
graduated from the Regional Fire Academy in Modesto on November 2005 and was 
in the process of becoming a firefighter. He graduated from Banta Elementary 
School in 1999 and from Tracy High School in 2003.

In his spare time, he loved fishing, dirt-bike riding, four-wheeling and 
working on classic cars.

Mr. Nuce is survived by his parents, Robert and Darlene Nuce of Tracy; 
siblings, Stephanie and Colton Nuce, both of Tracy; grandparents, Thomas and 
Irene Nuce, and Ida Pellegri, all of Tracy; great-grandmother, Olympia Greene 
of Tracy; aunts and uncles, David Pellegri, and his wife, Shirley, of Tracy, 
Kathleen Nelson, and her husband, Ken, of Valley Springs, Stephen Pellegri Jr. 
and Angela Aquino, both of Tracy, Richard Pellegri, and his wife, Gina, of 
Tracy, Nanette Christianson, and her husband, Clay, of Santa Rosa, Edward 
Pellegri, and his wife, Cherisse, of Tracy, Shirley Turner, and her husband, 
Don, of San Jose, Thomas Nuce Jr. of Stockton and Roxanne Shankel, and her 
husband, Dave, of Hanford; and godparents, Kathleen Nelson of Valley Springs 
and Ron Noakes of Manteca.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeremiah Nuce; grandfather, 
Stephen “Nonno” Pellegri Sr.; and aunt, Jeanne Durham.

Friday’s services will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. 
Central Ave. Visitation will be observed from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. for family 
members and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for friends, both on Friday.

Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.

Contributions in Mr. Nuce’s name may be sent to the Clayton Nuce Fireman 
Academy Scholarship Fund at Bank of Stockton, P.O. Box 1189, Tracy 95378.
